Palić Health Resort Since 1782, Palic has been known as a health resort, when Dr Libertraut, the head doctor of Bačka Ccounty pointed out the high salt content in the water of the Lake; thereby opening a salt plant on its east shore. The first chemical analysis was carried out in 1856. The water of Lake Palić is sulfurous, alkaline and muriatic, with a temperature of 25ºC. Mineral water contains lithium and rubidium which is beneficial for diseases of bones. Hence,  when the lake water was drained for cleaning purposes, the lake mud was not removed because of its high concentration of valuable mineral substances. Water and mud are used in treating rheumatism, sciatic, scrofulousis, skin-,  gynecological- and nerve diseases. Treatments at Palić Health Resort are carried out by bathing in heated water in warm bath, and with mud coverings in  mud bath. The mud is taken from the bottom of the Lake and then heated up. Massages and electric therapies are also used in treatments.

Palić Sports Games  from 1880 and 1914 sports games took  place in Palić, in the following sports: fast walking, cycling, fencing and other sports. The forbearer of these competitions  amongst the best  athletes from Sombor, Senta, Szeged, Kanjiža, Budapest and Subotica  was Lajos Vermes , a man that built the first cycling track with an auditorium on the shore of Lake Palić.

Patria Hotel  located at the very centre of the city, it was built in 1964 and was reconstructed only once since then, and it  included a complete re-design of its  exterior and interior , which was finished on August 15th 2008, when the hotel started working again.
