Zabatkiensis Arena (The Sand of Subotica) is the first wine order of the region. It was founded on St. Valentine’s Day - February14th 2001. The members of this order are  grape growers and vintners from the Subotica – Horgoš sandy terrain; wine and grape-vine experts; researchers in wine-growing and wine production history; renowned hoteliers; representatives of tourist organizations; prominent figures of the public and cultural life; journalists. Their common goal is  to present and spread the good reputation of the wines from the sands. During wine- and similar festivities, knights appear in attractive dressing, wearing the emblem of the order, thereby promoting the wine consuming culture in public.

Zoo is located in the centre of Palić, at  6km from Subotica and 5km from E-75 free-way that connects Budapest and Belgrade. Founded in 1949, today it covers over 10ha. Animal voliers and space for resting and amusement blend in harmoniously into the surrounding park. Over 270 diverse species of trees and bushes grow in the park, some of which are rare and exotic, such as the Lebanon Cedar, the Giant Seqouia or the Larch Tree. Among local species the centenary Oak Tree stands out. Conifers are found at the north side of the garden, while decidious trees are on its south side. Several forest formations have been left. The space is enriched and enchased by numerous pot-planted flowers, ponds, founts and fountains. Visitors can see over 50 animal species: numerous birds, several species of monkies, large mammals,and also exotic animals such as snakes and tarantulas. About 160 000 people visit the Zoo during the year.
